As Fall rushes in, I'm choosing the new fabrics for "Paris" above.  I'm feeling a black and white season coming on.  I've just purchased the most beautiful white cashmere and mink fabric for a winter white selection of purses.

I took this photo from the set of Peacock.  We were shooting in Iowa.  The weather there is powerful and beautiful. This is minutes before a tornado.  It was wild!

Flashback! Early Lenorables...

Wow, it's been a while since I thought about the beginnings of my now beloved purse I call "Val" after a beloved good good friend. This purse can see you through all occasions and you'll always be appropriate with a stylish edge. Ok, I'm girl what loves a great accessory.

I've been thinking about what quality is and what beauty is. It's so personal, you know it when you see it. But like many great things, loveliness and the necessity for it can sneak up on you when you least expect it and surprise you with its gifts. Like falling for a really juicy peach or the super softness of cashmere so yummy you can't bear to let it go. Aren't we lucky? We just cannot predict what will happen next.

Excitement in Vermont!

I've just returned from Stowe, VT. It's beautiful there. I couldn't catch my breath for all of the pretty that was all around. I took a yoga class with my husband and I shopped the various markets. What's out there? Exploring is a huge part of design and sales and bags

for me.

I adore meeting new people and being inspired by all kinds of things. My new friend Cheryl is one of those beings. I first met her in Brooklyn at the Indie Market. I was wowed by her beautiful kiosk.

And in then Stowe, wowed by her gorgeous antiques and lifestyle store. She and I have big plans for the new fall Lenorables line together with all that's available with her at Alpine Home! Keep checking for all the celebrations and news.

We stayed at the lovely Mad River Inn. Nice food, great patrons and very soothing hot tub. MMmmmmm!

The Simple Act of Breathing

...leads to seeing and moving and if you're anything like me, it all leads pretty quickly to making something.

I can't help myself. After having this inspiring talk with the wildly inspiring E CaitlinWard (caitlinward.com), I just had to try this blogging thing. How exciting! Yet, another opportunity to put beautiful things out into the world.

In the meantime, thanks for being here and checkout what Caitlin's up to...she'll inspire you, too.

I Loooove Birthdays!

It's almost my birthday...

The thing about birthdays for me, I give myself permission to do whatever I want cuz, it's my birthday. I throw a party for myself.

Well, really, parties- several, all day or all month or half the year, even alone at breakfast on July 19th mornings. I bought 2 magazines today, it's my birthday! I tell everyone I run into: it's my birthday...I even start early (sometimes, months early) with clerks in stores, passengers on buses even friends. I learned it from the 6 year old me.

And on that day -July 19th, I allow people...strangers, friends, loved ones of all kinds to just give me things, smiles and greetings and hugs and all kinds of gifts & things and I just say thank you and take it all in...risking, feeling loved by all.

Simple but not always so easy!
